The living room was flanked by two things- a built in and a sculpture. The built- in got a new custom paint color that used a contrasting neutral to create dimension and help define the space. The sculpture- custom ceramic cherry blossoms by a DC artist- was lost on the original gray wall, so we made it stand out by painting the wall St John’s Blue by Benjamin Moore. The seating was updated to a tweed sofa with contrasting velvet trim, two cozy accent chairs and the most comfortable modern versions of a wingback chair in the market. Layered lighting, glass and stone side pieces continued to make the room feel like it could hold hours of conversations.

The dining room had a custom walnut fluted table with tone on tone red upholstered chairs- our client’s favorite color- to anchor the room. A large colorful abstract from Calloway Fine Arts became the perfect backdrop for dinner.
